I just love Nathan in Castle, but tripped over Serendipity, then when I got the Roku, found Firefly, which was a short-lived series, that Serendipity was the follow-up movie of. I’ve watched every episode of everything I can find, and have tripped over a couple of others, I think.
In my book, Neil Patrick Harris isn’t even in the same league. Of course I’m an OLD lady.

Haha – do you have Netflix streaming? I’ll bet you’d LOVE Dr. Horrible’s Sing-Along Blog.
Then you’ll know why I put NpH (Dr. Horrible) at the end there. It’s so funny – I know you’ll like it. Nathan plays Captain Hammer.

We’re hooked on Firefly and Serenity (not Serendipity). We own both the complete series of Firefly and Serenity on DVD. We also loved Dr. Horrible’s Sing-Along Blog. We haven’t bought it on DVD, but we did buy the soundtrack off of Amazon…oh, and I have my Captain Hammer shirt. I currently follow a few people from Firefly on twitter along with NPH.
Nathan Fillion (@NathanFillion on twitter) gets a special nod in my book. Yes, we love Castle (hellllo Detective Beckett!), but I am a bigger fan of his from Firefly, Serenity, and the Halo video game series. I’ve gone so far as to have his face as my character (with no helmet) in one game in the series (ODST), and his voice for my character (naturally cracking humorous comments as I play) for another (Halo Reach).
NPH (@actuallyNPH on twitter) is a very talented man. I never liked Glee, but I sat down with my wife to watch the episode NPH guest starred on. We haven’t gotten around to it yet, but we fully intend to start watching, and catch up to, How I Met Your Mother.

Well, you really can’t go wrong with Nathan Fillion.
Firefly is one of my (or as my hubby pointed out above, our) favorite shows. And while I love Castle, it would just flip my cookies to have Firefly come back….

I would LOVE to see Firefly come back! It apparently didn’t last long, and the only reason I can see for that is that it was in Chinese! For heaven’s sake! Who speaks Chinese? And it was Serenity, not Serendipity, which when I wrote that, didn’t sound right. I’ll blame it on a Sr moment.

Rev … you have a Captain Hammer shirt! Yowza! many points for that. I agree that NPH is great. He’s one of the few celebs (also Nathan Fillion) that I follow on Twitter. Come to think of it, I follow two other actors from Firefly. They’re all interesting, and usually celebs on Twitter are … not.
Did any of you see Harold and Kumar Go to White Castle? It’s laden with profanity and offensiveness, and one of the funniest movies I’ve ever seen. Neil Patrick Harris plays “himself” as a jerk. He’s hilarious.
As for the Chinese in Firefly/Serenity – I loved that touch. I imagine it’s Josh Whelan’s nod to our anxieties about China taking over, just as the Alien movies assumed the Japanese would be the dominant economic power in the future. I adopted the “Chinese will triumph” view in the Apocalypto series.
And I kind of stole the idea for Apocalypto’s curse words from Firefly. Shib is a bastardization and condensation of Cào ni zuzōng shíbā dài – the curse used in Firefly (which means: F**k your ancestors to the 18th generation).

I forgot to mention … the movie Waitress is wonderful. And NF is wonderful in it.

Oh yes, I HAD to get a Capt. Hammer shirt as soon as I found out they were available. I follow both these guys on twitter along with Morena Baccarin (@missmorenab) and Jewel Staite (@JewelStaite). Really, they are all funny, but Alan Turdyk used to post quite a bit and it got kinda old for me. Suppose I should look up Adam Baldwin (Jayne’s Town is one of my favorite episodes), and Summer Glau…
I want to do things I can’t share with a PG audience to that man. 😉 LOOOOVE Nathan Fillian. Glad he got over his “end of the series when he’s cast” curse. 😉

I would also like to recommend you look into Drive, though it ended abruptly. It was canceled by the time the third episode aired. Stupid Fox…
Oh, Elizabeth – I didn’t know about Drive. I’ll check it out. And yes, stupid Fox …
I JUST LOVE NATHAN. I AM OLD LADY, BUT HE COULD EAT CRACKERS IN MY BED ANYTIME.
I totally agree, Lorraine!
